An update on LSFF's year-round activity and looking ahead amidst COVID-19 shutdown

Dear LSFF filmmakers, followers, fans and loved ones,

We are in the most uncertain of times amidst COVID-19 shutdown, and really hope that you and yours are coping well.

LSFF 2021 (15th - 23rd January) is a long way off, and who knows where we will be, however the LSFF team would like to reassure everyone that we are committed to holding the 18th London Short Film Festival in 2021 in some form, continuing to support filmmakers, artists and audiences. Whether this will be at our beloved venues, online, a mixture of the two, or something else entirely we do not yet know… We’ll keep you posted as our plans evolve in tandem with world events.

For the time being LSFF will continue to accept submissions on FilmFreeway, with plenty of time on our hands for viewing in these days, of course.

We will continue to accept applications for our pre-selector roles and festival director, and will conduct Skype interviews for each in the weeks ahead.

The LSFF regional How to Deaf tour dates have all been postponed, and we hope to reschedule screenings for later in the year - please keep an eye on our website and social media for announcements.

Thank you for your time and support. Stay well, and we look forward to seeing you all on the other side.

Sarah, Philip & team LSFF 💛
