With many thousands of shorts screened at LSFF over nine years, it’s always exciting when our film-makers also make features, and LOCO LONDON is a perfect opportunity to showcase your work. The LOCO Discovery Award is a search for Britain’s most original and innovative new comedies, celebrating films that do not yet have distribution. And in case you’re worried that “comedy” means Jennifer Aniston romcoms, last year’s winner was Black Pond, Will Sharpe and Tom Kingsley’s dark tale of a dysfunctional family accused of murder, which went on to be nominated for the BAFTA Outstanding Debut and Guardian First Film Awards.
