LSFF & PooP Creative Celebrate World Toilet Day

To help celebrate World Toilet Day on November 19 2012, PooP Creative in association with the London Short Film Festival announce the two winning shorts of The Golden Poo Awards.

London Short Film Festival is proud to support World Toilet Day, the global campaign to raise awareness of the need for adequate sanitation for 2.5 billion people in developing countries.

Back in March, PooP Creative in association with the London Short Film Festival (LSFF) launched a competition for short films, which tackled the issue(s) of sanitation and/or hygiene in a catchy, emotive, funny, sensational or "infectious" way.  

After receiving hundreds of submissions, a judging panel of short film experts including LSFFs own Philip Ilson, selected the two winning films which will be screened at LSFF in January.

Number One in The Golden Poo Awards this year is Mens, Loos and Number Twos, by Andrew Oxley, a quirky, beautifully shot and constructed short film that helps to challenge the taboo of talking about poo. The film will be part of the Curzon Cinema programme on World Toilet Day 19th November. Number Two went to "Pushing 4 Change", a pithy, direct and humourous short by Paul Rey-burns.
