Short film schemes, microbudget features, celebrity actors…what could possibly go wrong..?

Tristan Goligher and Valentina Brazzini from the production company The Bureau share lessons learnt on their work to date.

The Bureau is a partnership of producers united by two core ideas. First to embrace strong voices, telling original stories, and second to discover, stimulate and nurture new talent. This ethos has run through our work, for over a decade during which The Bureau has established itself as one of the UK’s most distinctive production companies.

Since launching the feature film career of Asif Kapadia (The Warrior, Senna) The Bureau has continued it’s commitment to supporting new, singular talents. Most recently The Bureau produced Andrew Haigh’s breakthrough film Weekend, and Tom Shkolnik’s The Comedian which premiered at LFF last year.

Outside of those productions the company has actively sought relationships with new talent through short film schemes such as Cinema Extreme and Collabor8te, as well as the feature length development programme SOS.
