Memoirs, is loosely based on Daniel Paul Schreber’s 1903 autobiography Memoirs of My Nervous Illness- a visceral account of his mental collapse into psychosis. He believed that he was chosen to redeem the world, and could do so if he was transformed into a woman. Using archive footage from the Wellcome Library, we create a collage of his extraordinary memoirs.
