In The Lighter, disheveled Alex knocks at the door of Sarah, his ex. It is early morning and she opens, irritated by his visit. Alex asks for a lighter- their lighter, the one they used to share when they were together. Sarah returns it. Bit by bit, Alex dismantles it, letting go of the past and finally moving on.
