Set in Toronto in the 1980's, “Weekends” is the story of a 6 year-old boy shuffling between the two homes of his recently divorced parents, both of whom are adjusting to their own separate lives. Combining intimate domestic moments with vivid dream imagery, “Weekends” aims to sincerely capture the exciting, bittersweet, and surreal aspects of childhood in expressive hand-drawn animation.
