A young lady is attending the audition of a lifetime - and her only chance to hit the big time. In an old, unwelcoming theater she encounters a brusque, strange looking man - her judge, her challenger, perhaps her champion. He questions her and studies her; ultimately he's the only obstacle in the way to eternal recognition. Will she leave a legacy or simply fall by the wayside?
