Spend a cold winter’s afternoon with some longer form documentary short films. This powerful selection takes us from the tough prisons of Scotland to voodoo experiences in Haiti. Meet a veteran low-budget filmmaker in Pennsylvania, a rock star-turned-cabbie in Glasgow, and an ex-pat Englishman on the snowbound streets of New York’s Lower East Side.

Where possible, each film will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker.

Please note this event is planned to finish at 6pm, but there’ll be plenty of time to buy food and drinks.

Films screening in this section are eligible for the Sheffield Doc/Fest Award for Best Short Documentary, which will be presented at the LSFF Closing Night Awards Ceremony on Sunday 15th January, 2012.

Advance tickets for this event are available online at the Roxy Bar & Screen website. There will be limited tickets available on the door, on the night.
