Tony Grisoni is known as a screenwriter; for his work with Terry Gilliam (Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Tideland), Michael Winterbottom (In This World), Samantha Morton (The Unloved) and the TV series’ Red Riding and Southcliffe, plus independent cult cinema gems Queen of Hearts, Brothers of the Head and The Lives of the Saints. He has also directed a series of drama short films through the likes of the UK Film Council, Sky Drama and Film Four, plus a number of more experimental pieces with artists including Oona Grimes and Brian Catling.
We’ll be investigating Grisoni’s work as a filmmaker, screening a selection of the above work followed by a discussion on stage with Grisoni.
Event Update: LSFF has confirmed the brilliant Jonny Trunk to DJ in the Curzon
Soho bar following Friday’s screening. He is the founder of Trunk
Records, the cult label that’s re-released film soundtacks for the
likes of The Wicker Man, Kes, and The Clangers, as well as curios
and wierdness from recording history from the 60s and 70s, and who
has an excellent show on Resonance Radio.
