Join representatives from Scalarama, a Celebration of Cinema every September, and LSFF for an interactive workshop for all those who want to screen films to others, whether that be film clubs, film festivals, pop up venues or establishing a full time cinema. With a presentation detailing programming, venues, promotion and sustainability, the event will move on to a speedy presentation of various cinemas and film clubs from around the UK, before breaking into smaller groups to workshop your ideas. The event will end with an opportunity to network with both fellow film clubs or potential partners in your future endeavours, and a game of Kino Bingo!

Perfect for both complete novices and seasoned professionals, this event seeks to help share ideas and resources, building on the Scalarama network of exhibitors and encouraging everyone to show a film as part of the 2014 event in September. Kino Bingo returns to LSFF after the hit of last year’s Festival and LSFF: Down on the Farm last summer. It challenges your powers of visual perception and memory. 4 reels of 16mm found footage snippets from the eclectic collection of the Kino Club archives, are simultaneously projected, so pay attention! These consist of educational, travel, and industrial films from the 50s, 60s and 70s occasionally peppered with rare home movie footage. All you have to do is match the cryptic clues on your Kino Bingo card with what you see the screen. This years special presentation will be Kino Bingo All-Stars, 4 reels of classic film clips creating a montage of film noir. Presented by your host and projectionist, David Leister.
