EARTH OVER WIND
Joern Utkilen 40 mins (, 2014)
A newly separated couple fight about who should take care of their 10-year-old son. A man desperately hunts for someone to share his life with. A young woman fights for her mother's attention. In a unique and absurd way these stories tie together. Earth Over Wind was made through intuition, association and confidence - confidence in the intuitive process, that it would lead to a entertaining and meaningful project. -
PRIMITIVE
Tom Rowland 29 mins (, 2014)
Set against the iridescent backdrop of London at night, ‘Primitive’ follows a dancer’s journey from bitter heartbreak and violent anger through to creative self-discovery. Featuring choreography and performances by Dane Hurst, one of the world’s most highly-acclaimed contemporary dancers, stunning cinematography and projection-mapped lighting, ‘Primitive’ explores the corrupting force of inner rage and redemption through creativity. -
SIBLING
Dee Meaden 25 mins (, 2014)
Huw struggles to master the techniques his sister Sylvie teaches him to cleanse the air. If he improves, it might be safe enough for him to go outside. He must not look at the window, or the air outside will feel him looking and will get agitated. He must focus and tune in to the messages Sylvie sends. Remembering won't help him. -
SIREN
Louise Marie Cooke 23 mins (, 2014)
A story of lust and desire, of identity and sexuality. Elizabeth’s mundane life is turned upside down when she meets a sensuous older Spanish woman drifting through the sleepy English coastal town where she lives. A desire is awakened in her that grows with intensity, all complicated by her on / off relationship with a local guy called Tom. -
THE PRESENT DAY
Poppie Sköld 24 mins (, 2014)
The final instalment in the trilogy film project, 'Lightly Covered in Buttoned Cloth', a collaboration between director Poppie Sköld and writer Ben Webb. Three years in the making, each film concerns itself with a discreet set of characters living in contemporary London. Themes and ideas thread their way through all three parts, creating a cumulatively coherent world. Each part can be viewed individually or as part of the broader triptych.
