IN MEMORY OF CHRIS COLLINS [Charity Screening]
18:15 Sun 18 Jan 2015
Chris Collins (1962 – 2014) was production executive for the UK Film Council and BFI Film Fund, and a producer who supported filmmakers from Carine Adler, Pawel Pawlikowski and Duane Hopkins to Andrea Arnold, James Marsh and Jonathan Glazer. Chris also sat on the jury at the 2011 London Short Film Festival, and LSFF has screened many of the short films he’s produced or exec produced since we began.
This evening’s programme will be a selection of that work, and introduced by his colleague at both the BFI and the UK Film Council, Lizzie Francke.
The proceeds from this screening will go to his chosen charity Dimbelby Cancer Care, who seek to make life better for people living with cancer, and who are currently fundraising for Care For the Future, an information and support service to be housed in the new Cancer Centre at Guys Hospital.
Featuring work from Andrea Arnold, Warp Films, recent BIFA winner Oscar Sharp, and Sundance winner Kibwe Tavares:
Dog (Andrea Arnold, 10 min)
Jonah (Kibwe Tavares, 17 min)
The Karman LIne (Oscar Sharp, 24 min)
Liam + Lenka (Michael Keillor, 17 min)
Tits (Alex Winckler, 14 min)
