Richard Heslop: Seven Songs [23 Skidoo]

16:30 Sat 9 Jan 2016

ICA ICA Cinema 2

Richard Heslop skateboarded with Alex Turnbull from the band 23 Skidoo in the late seventies, and as he had a camera, he started doing live projections for band. The 23 Skidoo album Seven Songs was recorded in Throbbing Gristle’s Hackney studio in 1981, and Heslop shot on 8mm, VHS and added found-footage to accompany the whole album, influenced by William Burroughs cut-up technique.

Richard will join us to introduce the screening.
