NEW SHORTS: Pick'n'Mix Autism Friendly Screening

LSFF return with Oska Bright to present an autism friendly screening for the second year running, mixing animation, music films, documentary and drama. We’re aware that going to a film can be a challenge for audiences on the autism spectrum or with sensory learning disabilities. We’re excited to host this screening of work from both our New Shorts programmes and the Oska Bright archive.

The lights will be kept on at low level, with reduced sound levels and allowance for increased levels of movement and noise. This screening is suitable for all audiences.

    Chateau au Go Go is a kinetic romp that investigates the images imprinted onto wine corks. This animated, macro-photographed film becomes a sort of frenetic history lesson that alludes to the human impulse to tame nature.

    Is there any cure for being ‘a little grey’? One man’s search takes him through bars, churches, doctor’s surgeries, tattoo parlours and beyond, but will he find what he’s looking for? A colourful story about losing your spark and finding redemption.

    A powerful short exploring gender identity, disability and other themes.

  • MIRANDA'S LETTER

    Teresa Griffiths 5 mins (UK, 2016)

    Inspired by Shakespeare’s late great play The Tempest, Miranda’s Letter adds a new twist to the 400 year old story. This small but powerful film imagines the story of Miranda’s missing mother who does not feature in the play. The film was commissioned by the British Council for their Shakespeare Lives season and was filmed on location in Devon.

    Zombie Crash and LAE Productions 4 mins (UK, 2016)

    Zombie Crash arrives at their homecoming gig at the end of a long hard tour and finds that a boy-band has been given their slot on stage. They are not impressed; Zombie Crash has no time for manufactured pop niceness.
