    To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Jack London’s death, filmmaker Fx Goby adapts To Build a Fire, the famous novel of the American author. To Build a Fire is an animated short film in 4K Cinemascope that tells the tragic tale of a man and his dog trying to survive in the overwhelmingly freezing and hostile nature of the Yukon Territory. Enter our polar western and experience the bitter cold while embarking on a sensory journey.
  • AFTERMATH

    Siegfried Sassoon wrote the poem “Aftermath” in 1919 shortly after he was de-mobilised. He had come to despise war and feared that most of us would forget it's horrors. “Aftermath” was broadcast on every Armistice Day for many years after the war. This film is set in 1927 and explores one character's reaction as he hears one of these broadcasts.

This one-man project was created over 7 months using a composite of photos, drawings and footage of my face. The photos were taken around London and my home town out in the countryside of Worcestershire. The song is an original written and performed by myself and recorded with a friend.
