INDUSTRY: Imprints: Documenting Sex and Sexuality

15:00 Thu 16 Jan 2020

Rich Mix The Stage

To bookend the day, a theoretical discussion on the ethics and ideas a filmmaker must process when narrativizing intimacy and representing the interpersonal, often tricksy dynamics of romance, love, sex and sexuality on screen.

Discussion will straddle fiction, experimental works and documentary, keeping in mind the power dynamic between the filmmaker and the filmed, the vulnerability between filmmaker and spectator, and how more generally we use sex and sexuality to connect.

Panellists: host Joanna Duncombe (curator), Grant Gulczynski (filmmaker), Sophie Koko Gate (animator), Flo Van Deuren (filmmaker)

£6 Session Ticket / £10 Day Ticket (2 x sessions) / £35 Week Pass (All sessions) / £2 Low income session tickets (Must be booked in advance)
