Rio Cinema

Sketch Night becomes, well, Sketch Afternoon with our classic variety show of comedy shorts and live sketches.

Get ready to laugh with (and, er, at) your favourite comedians with on screen turns from Jamie Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats) and Jack Rooke (Happy Man), and an eclectic bag of talent behind the camera including previous LSFF Lo-Budget winner Kate Jessop (Tales From Pussy Willow) and avant-garde filmmaker John Smith (The Girl Chewing Gum).

Followed by live comedy hosted by our returning compere extraordinaire Gem Carmella (Short Sighted Cinema), join Evelyn “The Swedish Amy Schumer” Mok, plus duo Ambika Mod and Andrew Shires, collectively known as Megan from HR, who cut their teeth at the Durham Revue. Programmed by Philip Ilson. 74’
