In this darkly comic tale, Tatiana, a feisty illegal Latino immigrant, is thrown off a ship and told to ‘swim’. Expecting to find herself outside New York, not England’s remote Severn estuary, she’s rescued from the freezing mud by homeless Nathan. Initially scared of his strange motives for living here, a friendship develops, before a surprising visitor launches an adventure.
