Our ever-popular documentary marathon returns to the Roxy Bar & Screen, with a double bill of the very best in short documentary.
1. Portraits
From an obsession with public toilets to human suspension; from young mothers to the problems of the elderly; and not forgetting boxing, rowing and tap dancing! All aspects of life are explored here in this varied selection.
2. Worktime
Real life is not all rest and play, so these documentaries look at the whole spectrum of our working lives. Learn about ballet shoes, a job under the sea, and the inner-thoughts of road sweepers.
Films screening in this section are eligible for the Sheffield Doc/Fest Award for Best Short Documentary, which will be presented at the LSFF Closing Night Awards Ceremony on Sunday 15th January, 2012.
