INDUSTRY: The Politics of Production: Artist Filmmakers' Co-ops
12:00 Fri 17 Jan 2020
With ever-reduced funding for artist filmmakers and the decline of organisations such as the London Filmmakers’ Co-op, London is no longer a welcome homefor creatives looking for support and community. This session looks to the remaining London co-ops as we discuss where artist filmmakers belong in a film industry that priorities the commodification of film for popular appeal.
This event was created in response to a research report written by Dan Ward and published by City Projects, available here.
Join us for an open conversation with panellists from co-ops around London:
- Rhea Storr (Artist filmmaker, member of Not/Nowhere)
- Benjamin Cook (Director of LUX)
- Dan Ward (Member of Black Shuck)
£6 Session Ticket / £10 Day Ticket (2 x sessions) / £35 Week Pass (All sessions) / £2 Low income session tickets (Must be booked in advance)
