These contemporary artists draw from black British creative, cultural and socio-political lineages and play with conventional notions of experimental filmmaking across their works.
Spanning narratives of intergenerational dialogue around family and community, what it means to exist as people of colour in rural spaces and explorations of the pressures of creating art under the white gaze come together to show that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all black British experience, or a singular way to express it.
