BORDERED
Onyeka Igwe 3 mins (UK, 2012)
Borders inhibit movement, from passage across geographical boundaries to relations between one person to another. Borders forbid, halt, break and stop but they can also be permeated, broken, passed through and dodged. There is always the possibility of movement. Bordered is a performative exploration into the binary relationship between borders and freedom movement. -

GRANDMOTHER IS A CRAB
Stuart Pound 2 mins (UK, 2012)
Grandmother is a Crab borrows from an earlier digital video, made fifteen years ago, that itself used footage captured from a travel advertisement on television. Black and white, and mirror effects, take the image out of time, giving it both vividness and distance. The music is played in reverse. And the voice-over and under-titles are a poem that re-enters the magic world of a child on a beach. -
HAPPY RETURNS
Tim Webb 7 mins (UK, 2012)
In a house clearance shop in Cliftonville, Margate, England, I bought a woman’s scrapbook collection of her birthday cards she had received from her children and grandchildren. It cost me £ 1.99. -
HOUSE GUESTS
Liane Lang 7 mins (UK, 2012)
House Guests is shot in animation and timelapse, at the house of Rudyard Kipling in Vermont, the only house he ever built himself. The house remains furnished with his library and furniture and many of his objects and pictures. The camera travels through the spaces, from the Victorian boilers in the basement to the Jungle Book objects in the attic and animates and intersperses other objects and occurrences, luring the spectres of past events and occupants out of the silent walls and objects. -

METAMORPHOSIS
Luke White, Remi Weekes 4 mins (UK, 2012)
Metamorphosis 2012 was commissioned to celebrate the National Gallery's exhibition of the same name. The exhibition was centered around the three world famous Titian paintings depicting Ovid 's classical tale of Actaeon the Hunter and Diana the Goddess. Actaeon surprises the Goddess bathing naked in a forest pool. The punishment for his audacity is to be turned into a stag and consumed by his own hounds. This film re-imagines that fateful encounter and is re-set in a hunting lodge somewhere in Europe, anytime in the last 100 years. -

PEACE STARTS WITH ME
Noriko Okaku 1 mins (UK, 2012)
Peace is always in your life, if you look for it. In my film, the word peace is concealed within an abstract landscape – at times clearly discernable; at others hidden. The film is meant to seem chaotic. Like the principles of Ying and Yang, positive and negative, peace exists within chaos and vice versa. -

an attempt to visualize higher dimensions and unearthliness, taking into account these concepts' heightened awareness when attempting to process or predict the end of the world! -
STATES OF MATTER
Jim Nilsson 5 mins (UK, 2012)
Immersing elements into each other can change their behaviour and state of matter. Something hard and coarse may explode into a thousand tiny bubbles which gently dance in the current. A small droplet may expand into a ferocious vortex as it twists into liquid glass. Granules dispersed in liquid may scatter and form mesmerizing crystals which shimmer in the darkness. This film is an enveloping experience with sounds you can feel and images seductive enough to touch.
