INDUSTRY: Imprints: Intimacy Directing and Safeguarding on Set
12:00 Thu 16 Jan 2020
A practical primer workshop on intimacy directing and coordination with Ita O’Brien (Watchmen, Gentleman Jack, Sex Education).
Adapted for lower budget short film productions, we will learn techniques and have open conversation about choreographing physical intimacy on screen, best practice for safe rehearsals and staging sexual content, and fortifying inclusive, comfortable filming environments - even with a low budget, small crew and short runtime.
Open to all working within the short film production cycle - from DoPs, writers, actors and directors.
Ita O’Brien is an Intimacy Coordinator and Movement Director for film, television, and theatre.
